Riding Headgear Warning and Notice

RIDING HEADGEAR WARNING & NOTICE

Libertyville Saddle Shop, Inc. disclaims all warranties and representations with regard to the extent, if any, riding headgear will protect the wearer against injury as a result of any impact, accident or fall. We have not tested any riding headgear and cannot predict if it will offer any protection as the result of any impact, accident or fall. We offer for sale riding headgear as an accessory of riding apparel. We are informed that certain models meet the American Standard for Testing Materials (ASTM) Standard Number F.1163 and have received the Safety Equipment Institutes' (SEI) certification and are so labeled. This headgear is for equestrian use only. We disclaim any and all warranties and representations with regard to the extent, if any, to which it will protect the wearer against injury as a result of any impact. We have not designed, manufactured or tested the headgear and cannot predict whether it will prevent or mitigate head injury as a result of a particular fall or other occurrence.

We have been informed that the design meets ASTM Standard No. F.1163, but no representation or warranty is made with regard to the adequacy or reliability of such standards. Please take notice that it will provide no protection whatsoever if damaged, if worn without the chinstrap being securely fastened or if impact is to a portion of the head not covered by the helmet. Equestrian helmets affording more protection may be capable of being designed and/or may be presently available and helmets or headgear designed or used for other than equestrian activities may provide greater protection to the head than do equestrian helmets.
